This is a segment from my "Live Q&A" with Demetrius ( ua-cam.com/users/liveQyYk78gAEVc?si=4-njA-zyI3SUEj6h ) where Demetrius talks about what he calls "The Competitor Cycle". I think this is something WE ALL go through as pool players while we are learning and getting better at the game. I know I've been through this cycle multiple times and after hearing about this cycle I have a better unders...

Thank you! You are amazing in the demonstration. May i ask, does bridge length nd pivoting point matter with this aiming system ? Also, how would you control and drive CB to it placements ?

So, serious comment. I personally look at angle in and angle out from the object ball and that determines the point where i want to hit the rail. It works for me. It just seems so complicated the way you're explaining it. I do like your content and thank you for teaching me a lot.

This was a GREAT video, btw. I think one with 9 ball would be great. I just subscribed to your site this morning. Look forward to more great content. I'm a 5-5. Coming back from a 4 year layoff, but starting to get back in. My stroke is gone. I'm spending time at a table working on cue control, but it's ragged :( Hoping to pick up tips that will let me know that while I'm practicing a lot, I'm practicing bad habits unknowingly.

when he missed and left you the 8 and 9 ball out, even before you said anything my first thought was that I would have a white knuckle death grip on my cue and prolly yank the cue ball into a side pocket when shooting the 8 lol

This is the method that I've used for side banks for the last 10 years. After using a few times it was easy to quickly identify which diamond is 'inside' for your bank. I'll have to give it a try for long rail banks, as I've used 'spot on the wall' for those. Spot on the wall works really well for those banks, but in busy bars it's not always easy to find that spot with people walking back and forth.

I’ve been playing pool since I was tall enough to see over the rails by just a few inches.got very good as young minds can do amazing things. I played Minnesota Fats at a pool hall in East St. Louis Illinois back in the early 1960s. I was capable of running the table back then. Dad paid the fee that was required to play Twice. My first game I broke and didn’t make a ball and Minnesota ran the table. My second game had me making a ball on the break and running down to only one more ball in order to tackle the eight. I guess pressure got the best of me and I missed. So of course with an unobstructed table and his ability Minessota won the game. Dad was proud of me never the less. Now I’m almost 70 years old and a disabled veteran that plays at the local VFW. My question stems from me not being financially capable of buying a quality cue. Can I buy a rather cheap cue and experience an advantage by replacing the tip with a high quality one? Will that make the cheap cue a more desirable playing stick? Or is it a waste of a good tip? Isn't the cue tip gonna be exactly at the middle between the cue ball and the target ball, making the third step not necessary ?

It does crack me up how you do a frozen stare at the ball after you make it. 😂. I’d be jumping up and down celebrating. I can’t believe you don’t even smile or go “damn I’m good” after you do it. Can you please do a UA-cam short and do a sick shot and then say “daaaaamn. I’m just too good.” 😂😂😂

While its nice for practice to mentally line up your shots its not practical for using it in a game. I think i can come up with something that involves the speed and spin of the shot as well as only requiring a measurement between the starting position and the intended target. It will take some time since I do not have a pool table at home and have been practicing at a church and on shooterspool.
